CLASS OF’ is about to school suckas!

On Thursday September 24th, CLASS Of’ welcomes special guest, DJ ELEVEN (The Rub) with resident DJs Brendan Butter & Relly Rels (Crimes & Treasons Radio) and Rhek & Brand (Get It In, Sharks & Hammers).

A large part of our weekly Thursday night is based on playing dope hip-hop…especially Classic joints. Who better to take us to school than DJ ELEVEN!?

Along with his boys Cosmo Baker and DJ Ayres, The Rub have been taking us through some serious lessons with their History of Hip-Hop shows on Brooklyn Radio (http://brooklynradio.net/the-rub/) They have run the line doing tighter than tight mixes honoring some of the best in each year from 1979 to 1999!!!!

If ya didn’t know and think we’re playing check the links below to see how serious these guys are about honoring hip-hop’s past. Volumes 1 – 20 are all on there…yup that’s each year from 1979 to 1999 with it’s own show!!!! Damn!

SO… We decided to switch some things up a bit to battle this fucking looming RECESSION…

we moved the night to TUESDAYS.. then we moved down the block to THE MET, where we can now actually turn on the subs without getting noise complaints or the power turning off,

Join us for a walking tour of the Gastown neighborhood that you won’t soon remember forget, ending at The Modern to see Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam Funk, Hedspin and U Tern. Simply ask about Shuffle badges at any these fine Gastown locations, bring said badge to Diamond, The Met, Deighton’s Well, Revel and The Lamplighter for a complimentary Heineken, shot of Sauza or Red Bull drop shot at each location. Guests are encouraged to stick around and enjoy each venue’s distinct vibe as long as they can; most will have DJs, all serve food and each is unique in Gastown.

Those who get each bar’s stamp on their badge will gain free entry to The Modern to get down with DJ Hedspin, Dam Funk and a live Video SL set with Peanut Butter Wolf (Stone’s Throw), proudly presented by Stussy

The Gastown Shuffle starts at 7pm and goes until 11pm, Wednesday June 10. Doors open at the Modern at 10pm.
